A couple of weeks ago we were driving to the store and Gideon mentioned he had a tooth that was loose. This is probably the fourth tooth Gideon is going to lose. I heard him and Isaac having a discussion about how many teeth Gideon lost and how Isaac hasn't lost any yet then this...
Isaac: Hey Mom, I keep my tooths nice and safe.
Me: Oh you do???
Isaac: Yeah cause I keep them right in my mouth.
I love these conversations!!!!

Winter Break Going Strong
After Christmas we spent time with Koki's family. He had a couple sisters come in from out of town. It was a lot of fun.

We spent New Year's Eve night with my family and Koki's. Tons of food and a good game of Mafia.

This picture was a bit after midnight and our boys were not having it. Gideon was soooo tired.

Gideon and Zion getting our Mafia board ready.

Whenever Koki's family comes into town it's a must that we go to Tucanos. I love their garlic meat yum yum!

The boys sat with the kids and enjoyed their freedom. The server was amazed how much meat Isaac ate.

Jarom fell asleep right when we got to Tucanos. It made for a nice relaxing lunch for Koki and me.

We all went to temple sqaure to look at the lights on New Year's Eve. Gideon enjoyed being with his cousins.

Uncle Gordon and Jarom

I decided Koki and I don't have many pics together so I made sure we took this one.

Family picture. Isaac did NOT want his picture taken that night so this is the best we got.

Happy Birthday to Me
My birthday was back in December but I'm just now getting around to blog about it. Leading up to my birthday I kept telling Koki I wanted him to surprise me and be spontaneous. He always isn't sure if I really mean it and wonders what budget I have in my head for him to spend. I ruined him in the past cause he went all out one year and I couldn't enjoy it cause of the money...ANYWAY, I really meant it this year when I told him do whatever he wanted. I'd be fine with it.
He did an awesome job. I requested a simple breakfast this year of granola and yogurt. After breakfast he sent me away to go get a pedicure. I talked my sister into joining me there and it was great. When I got home he had my really good friend that's a massage therapist there and I had an hour and a half massage while he kept the boys quiet in the basement. I tried not to fall asleep on her but it was really hard. She did a great job.
When the massage was done I came downstairs and my boys gave me their presents. They were so excited. Koki gave me the present I requested, a clean basement! Something I totally wasn't expecting was letters in the mail that day from him and my boys. I think it's safe to say his spontaneous side is coming back and I'm loving it.
The rest of the day was a date with my husband. My sister took the kids overnight while we shopped at the mall (Koki H..A..T..E..S the mall but he was a good sport), went to a movie, and ate out.
Overall it was a wonderful birthday and he totally raised the bar when it's his turn.

The boys all picked something for me from the dollar store. It was fun to see what they thought I'd like. (Excuse the no make up. I had to wipe it off after the massage cause it smeared everywhere)

Isaac gave me this Frisbee. He had a huge smile on his face when I opened it.

Merry Christmas
We had a great Christmas. I love Koki's job during these holidays cause he gets to be off with us. Here's the recap through pictures (fyi the pics are backwards)...

This year we did a group gift for my mom and dad. It was themed," Winter Breaks Best Survival Kit." We had gift certificates to restaurants and movies and then we gave them some survival kit presents to open like a blue ray DVD player. They LOVED it!

We do secret buddies every year. This is one of the gifts Isaac got from his cousin Atiana.

This picture of Gideon is so cute to me. His secret buddy was giving clues for us to guess he had Gideon. Meanwhile Gideon was getting more and more embarrassed realizing it was him.

Gideon and daddy. He wanted to put on his new sweatshirt right after the gifts were open.

Jarom just being cheesy Christmas morning.

The first thing Isaac wanted to play with was his dollar toy from Gideon. Koki and I wondered why we go anywhere else but the Dollar Store.

Letters to Santa and Treats on Christmas Eve

The older boys passed out on our way home from Provo on Christmas Eve. I was a little nervous we weren't going to do our Eve traditions but they all woke up.

We had Christmas Eve dinner with the in-laws and got to talk to Koki's little brother who is serving a mission. This pic is Koki's set up to include the 5 out of state siblings in the conversation. It included speakers, a lap top, about 5 cell phones, and a lot of wires.

We made some treats to pass out to the neighbors. Gideon was taking his turn cooking. I assure you they washed their hands :)

Isaac getting in on the cooking action.

Gideon's class Christmas party. He was so excited to wear pajamas to school (can't you tell hahaha).

This year each boy decorated a portion of the tree with no help. Jarom had so much fun.

Gideon and Isaac striking a pose by the tree.

Isaac wouldn't let anyone get close to his side of the tree. He took a lot of pride in decorating.

We found Jarom in the tree box when we were getting everything out.

The perfect hiding place for a two year old.

This was the first year we did a gingerbread house. At first I thought, "Oh this is a cute tradition." Then the boys started eating all the candy and when the house was finally done it lasted for about 2 minutes before it fell and everyone started eating it. At least we attempted.

Go Rams
We decided to go to my brother's football game in Arizona after Disneyland. I sometimes forget how huge of an accomplishment it is for him to play in the NFL cause my brother doesn't really like to talk about it.
For a last minute thing we talked 3 of my 5 siblings into coming (Jasen would've come but he had to coach). It was a great win for the Rams and really exciting to see CJ.
Jarom was so hyper but luckily he fell asleep in the first quarter
Everyone always thinks CJ is older than me. I say he has an unfair height advantage.
Gideon did a great job watching the game. He liked it better when he moved to sit with his cousins (Isaac sat with my parents so I don't have pics of him)
This was Koki's first NFL game. It was fun to experience it with him.

Boys First Trip To DISNEYLAND!!!!
We talked about taking the boys to Disneyland all year. Right before Thanksgiving I told Koki the tickets he and I had were going to expire so we needed to take the boys ASAP. We ended up going the week after Thanksgiving. The weather was great, lines were 20 minutes or less, and boys were the perfect age. It was a fast, totally packed, road trip but we loved it.
It brought back a lot of memories when I was growing up. Everything was so exciting for the boys. They were so content walking on Main Street. They would've gone in every shop if I didn't tell them there's a lot more to see than what's on that street. I loved how big their eyes got when they saw the rides and the big castle. I told Koki I want to go every year. He wasn't sold on the idea.
It was so helpful having my parents there with us. Isaac wanted to go on every ride with my dad and my mom was such a good sport waiting in line with Jarom at the end of the night while everyone else was ready for bed.
We went on the Buzz Light Year ride three times. The boys loved that they each got their own gun to shoot.
Gideon and Isaac both drove their own car. They loved that they got a "Driver's License"
Koki, Jarom, and I squeezed into one car. It was so comfortable...NOT! Jarom did fall asleep though.
This was Tarzan's tree house. Gideon loved it the other boys not so much. It was too high up for them.
We attempted to take this picture like 5 times. This is the best we got.
Koki and the younger boys on It's a Small World. Count how many times my boys flash signs. Koki loves that ;) I have to tell Koki they aren't gang signs. It just means PEACE to a 4 year old.
Isaac loved the parade. He kept asking me if it was over after every float passed and when I said no he had a big smile on his face. (Jarom was still asleep during the parade)
We waited in line to take this stupid picture with Woody and Jesse for at least 20 minutes. It was so annoying cause they picked who was next even though I was in the front. My mom practically pushed me into them for them to pick us and then Gideon and Isaac didn't want to get in the picture. Two words, NEVER AGAIN!
Since Jarom was the only one that took a nap that day. He outlasted his brother's. My mom was so good to take him on a couple more rides while his brothers did this...
