The Hannemann reunion was in Morro Bay, California this year. We ended up driving down with Tor and Rene's families. We stopped in Las Vegas and stayed at Bally's hotel. Irene Ah Quin was staying there with her son. I didn't love the room and made us change to another one. Still didn't love that one but Koki didn't want to change again so we stayed. I thought it would be okay cause at least we could swim all night. When we went down to the pool it was closed...at 8pm...in Las Vegas. I was not a happy camper. Koki decided to take the kids back to the hotel room. We ordered pizza and then Koki told me to go with Tor to shop to help me change my mood. He was smart. It helped to get out.
The next morning we were up and going. The older boys went to swim while we packed up and got ready. It was actually a lot of fun for the kids to drive with their cousins and all follow each other. We got there just in time for dinner then had to hurry and set up camp before the sun went down.
The kids had a blast camping on the beach. Only our family was crazy enough to actually go in the water. My three younger kids played in the sand forever. There was sand by our tent and Sale stayed there for hours before even going to the actual beach.
It was a fun, fast, packed 5 days.
